Description
The granary, located about one metre east of Fennel House, dates from the early 19th century and has seen few later alterations. It is constructed from slatestone rubble and features a hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. The granary has a small square plan, with the loft accessed by an external stair at the front, which includes an integral dog kennel built into the stair.
The exterior consists of a small two-storey structure. The front has an external stone stair on the left leading to a plank door at the first floor. To the right on the first floor, there is a two-light window with ventilation louvres. On the ground floor, there is a plank door and a two-light, two-pane 19th-century casement, both of which have timber lintels. The right side features a plank door with strap hinges and a timber lintel, while the left side and rear are blind. The interior has not been inspected. This granary is part of a well-preserved farmyard group.
