Description

This milestone, located approximately 550 metres to the north-west of Woolleigh Barton, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of granite and has a triangular shape with two round-headed faces on the front. The inscriptions are set in round-arched panels, with the left panel stating "31/miles/Exeter" and the right panel stating "3/miles/Torrington". This milestone is part of a series along the B 3220, which is the road connecting Torrington and Exeter.
