Description

Woolleigh Bridge is a bridge built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from uncoursed stone rubble, featuring some ashlar dressings and granite copings. The bridge has a single segmental arch made of ashlar voussoirs, along with an ashlar flat string course and a parapet that has rounded caping. The structure includes curved retaining walls with square end piers. Woolleigh Bridge carries the Torrington - Exeter road over the Woolleigh Brook, which serves as the parish boundary at this location.
