Description
Crippetts is a small house dating from the early 18th century, with a small 19th-century addition and a 20th-century extension. The building features plastered and whitewashed rubble walls and has a gable-ended asbestos slate roof. There is a rendered stone rubble stack at the left gable end and a projecting semi-circular plastered stone stack at the right gable end.
The house has a small two-room plan with a lean-to against the left-hand end and a small 20th-century rear addition. It is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical two-window front, with one window on the ground floor. The first floor has 20th-century two-light small-pane casements, while the ground floor to the right features a 19th-century single light small-pane casement. There is a 20th-century plank door with a glazed panel towards the left-hand end and a plank door at the front of the lean-to. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
