Description

The Old Mill is a house, reputedly formerly a mill, dating to the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble walls, partially whitewashed and rendered, with a gable-ended slate roof. The building features four gable-end stone rubble stacks, two at each end, offset from the ridge. The plan follows a double-depth layout with two rooms wide and a central entrance hall. The symmetrical front elevation, dating to circa the mid-19th century, has three windows with circa mid-19th century 6-pane sashes, complete with marginal panes. A central, circa 19th-century gabled porch, topped with a finial, shelters a circa 19th-century panelled and glazed door. The interior has not been inspected but may contain original joinery.
