Description
This building is a barn located immediately to the south-east of Woodland Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century with 19th and 20th-century additions. It features rubble and cob walls, topped with a hipped corrugated asbestos roof that is gabled at the end of the wing. The barn's main range has a central threshing floor, and a two-storey wing extends from the left-hand end, likely used for animal housing with storage above.
The exterior consists of a single-storey main range with a two-storey wing. There are wide central cart entrances on each side of the main range, framed with chamfered wooden doorframes. Lean-to additions have been added to each long wall. The wing at the left-hand end extends back and retains an original chamfered wooden framed slit opening on the first floor of its outer face. To the left of this opening is a loading hatch, with two doorways below and windows on either side. The gable end features an original two-light chamfered wooden mullion window on the first floor. Inside, the barn has 18th-century straight principal rafters with pegged collars.
