Description
A terrace of four houses with shops, built in the mid-19th century in Teignmouth. The houses are constructed of painted stucco with painted stone dressings and slate roofs. They have rendered stacks dividing the party walls. Each house has a double-depth plan and a symmetrical 2-window facade. The upper floors feature sash windows with 3/6-pane glazing to the second floor and semi-circular arched windows with moulded archivolts, pilasters, and sills to the first floor, containing 6/6-pane sash windows with radial glazing bars to the top. The second-floor windows are set within shouldered raised surrounds, cornices, and bracketed sills. Ground-floor shops were added in the 20th century. The interiors have not been inspected.
