Description

This is a direction post located at the junction of the roads to Bovey Tracey and Ashburton, approximately 40 meters north-east of St Paul's Church. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of granite. The post has a square section, with the head angled back and splayed on two sides. One splay features the carvings "TO BOVEY" above "TO CHUDLEIGH," while the opposite splay has "TO CHUDLEIGH" above "TO ASHBURTON."
