5/82 Direction post about 50 metres - north of St John's Church, at junction of Ashburton Road and Newton Road GV II

Direction post. Probably early C19. Granite. Square section monolith, the top splayed on each side with inscription carved on the splay. On one side TO NEWTON, on the other side TO ASHBURTON, each inscription being accompanied by a direction arrow.
