Description
This direction post, located at the north-east side of Hemsworthy Gate Crossroads, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of roughly dressed granite and has a wedge-shaped, oblong section. The south-east face features a carved letter A, likely representing Ashburton, while the east side displays the letter B, probably for Bovey Tracey. On the north side, there is the letter M, which likely stands for Manaton.
