Description

This milestone, located at SX 852 764, is likely from around 1824, coinciding with the establishment of the turnpike between Bellamarsh and Newcross. It is made of granite and features a roughly rounded head. The inscription reads "To Chudleigh 2 miles, to Newton 4 miles," with the inscription reversed on the side facing Chudleigh.
