Description
Brocks Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a remodel that occurred around the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of rendered cob or stone, featuring granite quoins and a Welsh slate roof with gabled ends and projecting lateral stacks at the rear, along with two smaller lateral stacks at the front. It has three storeys and an asymmetrical four-window front facing southeast. Most of the windows are 19th-century hornless 12-pane sashes, with a 16-pane sash on the ground floor to the right. On the first floor, there is a three-light casement with glazing bars to the right and a smaller two-light casement. A cross-passage doorway is located to the right of the center. Inside, the kitchen is situated to the right and includes a chamfered beam with straight cut stops, although the kitchen fireplace has been removed. A straight stair has been inserted in the cross passage. The roof has been slightly raised above 18th-century nailed trusses, which may themselves be replacements.
