14/277 House adjoining the Georgian House - at the north

GV II

House, divided into flats. Early C19. Colourwashed and rendered, probably stone; slate roof, gabled at ends, behind parapet; end stacks. Plan: Double depth plan with a central entrance; details of plan unclear at time of survey as interior not inspected. Exterior: 2 storeys and half basement. Symmetrical 3-bay front with 2½ storey canted bays to left and right. Parapet with a cornice; steps up to a C19 panelled front door with a rectangular fanlight and doorcase with an entablature and moulded brackets. Plate glass C19 4-pane sash windows to the first and ground floor; the basement has small pane timber windows. Interior: Not inspected but probably has features of interest and original joinery. Forms a good pair with the Georgian House adjoining at the left.
