Description
Harpridge is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of rendered materials, likely cob and stone, and topped with a two-span slate roof that has gables at both ends. The building features end stacks on the front block and a right end stack on the rear block. It has a double depth plan that is two rooms wide, with a central entrance leading into a passage and a staircase located at the rear of the passage.
The exterior is two storeys high and presents a symmetrical three-bay front. The original recessed panelled front door is topped with a rectangular fanlight and framed by an attractive doorcase with an entablature supported by consoles. The windows are fitted with moulded architraves and are glazed with later 19th-century two-pane plate glass sash windows. On the left side of the building, there is a small pointed arched window on the first floor. Additionally, a ramped garden wall at the left end, which matches the wall adjoining the right end of Rothesay, is included in the listing. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to retain original features.
