Description

Sparrow's Nest is an 18th-century house with 20th-century additions, located on The Strand in Ringmore. It is constructed with painted render over cob and has a thatched roof with a rendered stack on the left side. Originally designed with a central entry and two rooms, it now features a large heated room on the left. The house was originally symmetrical with a three-window front. Three tall 19th-century, three-light casement windows are set into the eaves. On the ground floor to the left is a 20th-century, slate-roofed lean-to conservatory. A 20th-century door and glazed porch are centrally positioned, with a matching window to the right. The right return features a deep, 20th-century, full-height glazed canted bay. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
