Walls, gates and gate piers. Mid C19. Coped red sandstone rubble walls and gate piers, wrought-iron gates. Substantial 1m-square piers have stepped caps swept up to support former ball finials. The walls approx 2.5m high extend approx 6m to each side, with a concave forward curve to the left and a convex curve to the right terminating in a pier. The tall double gates have intricate ironwork. Forms a significant part of the setting to Rowdens (qv).
