Description

Rowdens Lodge, now a separate house, is a mid-19th century lodge. It was previously shown on Ordnance Survey maps as Rowdens Cottage. The building is constructed of painted roughcast and has a slate roof with a rendered external stack to the right. It is arranged in an L-shape, incorporating a projecting wing to the left. The architectural style is described as "Cottage Orne." The single-storey main block has a two-window frontage. Features include fretted bargeboards to the gables and rusticated architraves to the three-light casement windows, which have cast-iron decorative frames. A triangular hood is situated above the front door. The interior has not been inspected.
