Description

The entrance walls and gate piers to Dun Esk are mid-19th century structures. The walls are made of coped Plymouth rubblestone and stand approximately 2 meters high, curving back to ashlar gate piers that feature shallow stepped pyramidal caps. Similar gate piers are located at the outer ends. These features contribute significantly to the setting of Rowdens.
