Description
Laurel Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, now used as a house. It features rendered cob construction and a steeply-pitched hipped thatched roof with tall stacks on either side. The original layout was a two-room plan with end stacks and a central entrance.
The exterior has two storeys and presents a symmetrical three-window range. It includes small late 19th-century plate-glass sash windows and a central half-glazed door set within a trellised porch that has a hipped slate roof.
Inside, there is a timber lintel over an open fireplace on the right-hand wall, which is flanked by 19th-century semicircular recesses. Some early 18th-century two-panel doors are still in place.
