Description
Highover Cottage is a house from the 18th century that has been altered. It is built of cob with a thatched roof that is hipped on the left side and half-hipped on the right over the entrance. The cottage has a three-room plan with the entry located in the right-hand gable end.
The exterior is single-storey with an attic and features a three-window range. The front has 19th-century two-light casement windows with horizontal glazing bars facing the street, and there is a thick ramped buttress to the right of center. On the right side, there is a 19th-century four-panel half-glazed door with semicircular-arched upper panels, which is sheltered by a 19th-century flat hood supported by scroll brackets. To the left of this door are 19th and 20th-century two-light casement windows. The rear of the cottage has 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected.
