Description

Old Farm and Old Farm Cottage are a house and cottage dating from the mid 17th century and 18th century, with a 20th-century addition. The structure features plastered and rubble cob walls, topped with a thatched roof that is gabled at the left end and hipped to the right. There are three rubble stacks, one at each end and one axial, with two featuring brick shafts.

The layout of Old Farm on the left is a two or three-room-and-through-passage plan, with a room to the right of the passage that has a stack backing onto it. The cottage, added at the right-hand end in the 18th century, has a two-room plan and includes a 20th-century addition.

The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical window arrangement of four on the left and two on the right. Old Farm is taller and has 19th-century small-paned two and three-light casements on the first floor and ground floor to the right, while the rest are 20th-century two-light casements. There is a wide gabled porch to the left of centre featuring a 20th-century part-glazed door. The cottage has later 20th-century two-light casements and a shallow porch to the left with glazed doors, along with a flat-roofed one-storey 20th-century extension to the right.

Inside Old Farm, there are chamfered ceiling beams in the room to the right of the passage.
