Description
Stokenbridge Farmhouse, with an attached outbuilding, is an early 19th-century farmhouse located off the south side of the B3207 in Modbury. The building is rendered, except for the unrendered rubble on the left gable end, and features slate roofs. It has a symmetrical, two-storey and attic design with a three-window front that includes 16-pane sash windows, except for a 24-pane near-square sash window on the ground floor to the right. The central entrance has a part-glazed 19th-century door with a pentice hood above it. The left side has a 20th-century light in the attic, a 16-pane 19th-century sash window on the first floor, and a door at the lower left. The right side also has a 20th-century light in the attic. The farmhouse has rendered gable stacks that are not at the ridge, with two stacks located to the right. The attached outbuilding has a lower ridge and presents a plain wall to the front. The exterior of the building is practically unaltered, and the interior has not been inspected.
