Description

Stoke Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dated 1613, featuring incised framing near the upper window on the left side. The building has dressed stone walls and a slate roof with stone gable copings. There are 20th-century brick stacks on both the left and right gables. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows on the ground floor, each with four-light stone mullions that have hollow chamfers and separate labels. The first floor has three windows with three-light stone mullions that are hollow and also feature separate labels. Most windows have fixed leaded lights, while the first floor has iron casements. A plank door is located at the centre, framed with wood and topped with a concrete lintel. The north gable wall includes a pair of small triangular-headed windows. There is an attached rubble-stone wall at the front of the house and another rubble-stone wall running approximately 40 metres behind the house to the southeast. The attached barn, dating from the 19th century, has rubble-stone walls and a slate roof. It features two small stone windows with four-centred and triangular heads, and a pair of plank barn doors at the centre.
