Description
Dairy Cottage is an 18th-century cottage in Lower Town, Marlborough. It has rendered rubble walls and a gable ended thatched roof. There are rendered brick stacks at each end, built on rubble bases. The cottage was originally planned with two heated rooms, with the larger room to the left. The exterior has a first floor window that is a 20th-century 2-light casement, and two ground floor windows that are large single-pane 20th-century casements. A 20th-century open-fronted porch with a plank door is situated to the right of the centre of the building. The interior was not accessible at the time of survey. The group value context is that it contributes to the character of the area.
