Description

The Hobbit is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with a probable addition from the 19th century. It features stone rubble walls that are mainly rendered and has a hipped thatch roof, with a gabled slate roof on the left-hand addition. The main range likely has a two-room plan, with one room and an entrance in the addition at the left-hand end. The cottage is oriented end on to the road and has three windows on its end wall: one on the first floor and two below, all of which are late 20th century PVC windows. The wing projecting from the left-hand end is recessed and includes a 19th-century panelled and glazed door with a window above. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
