Description

A pair of cottages dating from the early 18th century, situated at a right angle to the road in Bickleigh Vale. The cottages are constructed from stone rubble with granite quoins, and have a slate and corrugated iron roof with gabled ends. The front has a four-window range, with 19th-century casement windows. One doorway is on the right-hand side, with a stone open-fronted porch featuring a lean-to slate roof. Three large stone chimney stacks are visible at the ridge and gable end. A stair projection and outshut are located at the rear. Group Value: The cottages contribute to the group value of buildings in this area.
