Description

The Village Cross, located on the village green in Bickleigh, dates back to the 15th century. It is made of granite and features a Latin cross head that is slightly tapered and chamfered, with steps at the base and cusps in the angles above and below the arms. The cross stands on a large stepped granite base, with the top stage being moulded. The shaft of the cross, which is slightly square in shape, appears to be from the 19th century.
