Description
Bickleigh House, formerly The Vicarage, is an 18th-century house that underwent remodelling in the 19th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and was previously finished with a slate-hung front. The house features a slate roof with gabled ends and has a double-pile plan. It stands two storeys high with an attic and presents an asymmetrical façade with four windows. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, including tripartite sashes on the ground floor and first floor to the right. Notably, there is a 16th-century moulded four-centred arch doorway with a label located to the right of centre, which is said to have come from Grenofen, a site that is now destroyed. A brick chimneystack is situated at the gable end.
