Description

Lloyds Bank Limited is a mid to late 19th century building designed in the Florentine Renaissance style. It stands three storeys tall and features four window bays on the first floor. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate. The facade is made of rusticated Devonian limestone on the first and second floors, which includes a heavy bracketed cornice, floor strings, and impost bands. The second floor has round-arched cash windows set within a nine-bay arcade, featuring turned brick arches. The central windows on the first floor have foliated imposts, brick arches, and keys, while the outer bays contain splayed three-light oriel windows supported by attached mullion-columns. The ground floor is faced with granite and has foliated limestone caps on the pilasters, along with four segmental arched central openings that include round-arched doorways at the end bays.
