Description
Lloyds TSB is a building designed in the Free Renaissance style and consists of three storeys. It is constructed from bathstone set on a Portland stone plinth. The building features a balustraded parapet, and the upper two storeys are highlighted by giant Composite pilasters. There is a curved corner bay that includes a triple window on the top floor. On the first floor, there is a triple window topped with a swan-neck pediment and a relief frieze. The doorway is adorned with a heavy pedimented hood supported by large brackets, along with a cartouche and relief.
To the right of the entrance, there are five bays that alternate between single and triple windows. The first-floor windows feature reliefs in the heads and pediments above the triple windows. The end bay facing Commercial Street rises to create an attic with a pavilion lead roof. The north elevation, which faces Llanarth Street, has three bays, with single windows at the ends and two windows in the centre. The first-floor windows in the centre have pediments, and there is a balustraded balcony supported by heavy brackets.
