Description
46 Commercial Street is a building designed in the Dutch Renaissance style, featuring three storeys plus an attic. It is constructed of red brick with bathstone dressings. The gable has a segmental pediment that encloses a bathstone arch, and there is a broad oriel window supported by a bracket. The outer bays display unusual cranked two-storey oriels topped with stone half domes, with two narrow sash windows on each floor. On the second floor, between the oriels, there are two sash windows, while the first floor features a central bow window with two lights. The second floor windows are adorned with bathstone architraves, and the first floor windows have blocking and an entablature with a frieze.
