Description
62 St Mary Street is a building designed in the Dutch Renaissance style, featuring four storeys plus an attic. It is constructed of red brick with extensive bathstone dressings. The attic storey is topped by a Dutch gable, which has a pair of round-arched windows, string courses, and pinnacles. A swagged frieze adds decorative detail. The second and third floors each have a central three-light mullion and transom window, flanked by similar two-light windows on either side, with aprons decorated with swags. The first floor mirrors this design but includes a central oriel window. On the ground floor, there is a modern shop front situated between stone pillars that have floral capitals.
