Description
Nos 34, 34A, and 34B are a late 16th century or early 17th century house that was altered in the late 18th century. The building has three storeys and features two windows. It has a Welsh slate roof with a coved eaves cornice. The masonry party walls retain an original moulded bracket on the east side at the first floor level, while the front is timber-framed and jettied. The exterior is finished in stucco, with a plain floor band at the first and second floor jetties. The second floor has flush framed, architraved sash windows with glazing bars, and the first floor features segmental-bowed bay windows with three lights and glazing bars. There are later 19th century shop fronts at Nos 34A and 34. The central doorway is flanked by enriched console brackets and features a raised and fielded five-panel door. The building is listed as Grade II* for its group value.
