Description
27 Fore Street is a building from the late 19th century, featuring three storeys and a double-fronted design with three window bays. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has rendered stacks. The front is constructed of red brick, with a stone dentil cornice. The second-floor windows are round-arched stone, with three-light windows in the outer bays and a blank window in the centre. Pilasters support archivolts with keys to the centre light, and these windows are sash style. The first-floor windows have two lights in the outer bays, with stone pilasters that support pediments featuring enriched tympani, including a segmental-headed centre pediment. The ground floor is a double-fronted shop with stone Doric pilasters that carry an entablature, although it has modern shop windows and a doorway.
