Description

No. 73 Fore Street is an early 19th-century building that features a four-storey structure with one window. It has a Welsh slate roof and a masonry party wall made of Devonian limestone rubble on the east side, with a medieval town wall serving as a return on the west side. The front is slate-hung and timber-framed, showcasing architraved sash windows with side lights and glazing bars. The wooden shop front includes panelled pilaster strips, a modern fascia-cornice that extends over the entrance, and a splayed shop window bay with large panes. The house doorway is also architraved and has a rectangular fanlight. Additionally, No. 1 Guildhall Yard is part of this building.
