Description

No. 89 High Street is an early 18th-century building that has been altered over time. It stands three storeys tall and features two windows. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, and there is a rendered stack. The front of the building is rendered and timber framed, while the masonry party walls are visible. The second floor retains its original three-light mullioned casements, which have ovolo mouldings and early 19th-century glazing bars. The first floor has late 18th-century sash windows with architraves and glazing bars. Originally, there were two shopfronts with pilasters that supported an entablature with a projecting cornice, but the shop windows and doorway have been altered. There was also a former panelled house door. It is noted that No. 91 was part of this building.
