Description

Nos 78 and 80 High Street is an early 19th century building that has been refronted and is now divided into two separate occupations. The structure has three storeys and features two windows. It has a Welsh slate roof with rendered stacks and a timber-framed, slate-hung front that includes a coved eaves cornice. The masonry party walls have moulded corbels that indicate the former first-floor jetty. The first and second floors have modern four-light casement windows. The building originally had an early 19th century double shopfront with pilasters supporting an entablature; No 78 still retains its original shop window with large panes, while No 80 has a modern recessed shopfront. The central doorway maintains panelled reveals.
