Description
No. 25 Market Place is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of red brick, with the ground floor rendered to resemble stone. The roof is made of Welsh slate. The building features four windows, most of which still have their original glazing bars and are topped with gauged brick arches. The ground floor has three windows that have been replaced with modern casements. The entrance door is made up of six panels and is topped by a glazed rectangular fanlight. The doorway is flanked by plain pilasters and has an entablature, leading to a passageway. There is also an area guard made of iron standards. No. 25 Market Place and the Farm Produce Hall form a group with the Bakers Vaults public house.
