Description

The Market Hall, built in 1861, features eight bays with a base made of wood panels and a superstructure of glass. The structure is supported by thin wood pilasters that have shallow carved capitals and simple tracery. Each bay is gabled and includes louvred heads. The interior is constructed of iron. The Market Hall is part of a group with the surrounding properties in the Market Place.
