Description
Nos 26 and 27 Market Place, which also includes No 1 Park Street, is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It stands three storeys high and is constructed of brick with a hipped Welsh slate roof on the right side. The building features a modillion eaves cornice and has three windows on the upper floors, which do not have glazing bars, with two of these windows on the top floor being repaired. The ground floor is home to two 19th-century shop fronts that are adorned with elaborate console brackets. Nos 26 and 27, along with Nos 28 and 28A, form a group with No 2 Vernon Street and No 1 Park Street.
