Description

Nos 90 and 92 High Street, originally built as one house, are now two shops dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building is three storeys tall and constructed of red brick, topped with a hipped tile roof. It features a parapet and a stringcourse above the first floor. There are three sash windows, although the glazing bars are missing, and two small bay windows on the first floor. The shop fronts are modern, and there is a high carriage entrance at the east end of the front. The building was probably originally an inn. It is listed as Grade II for its group value with Nos 90 to 98 (even), which form a cohesive architectural group.
