Description
Nos. 28 and 28A on Market Place date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is three storeys high and constructed of red brick, featuring a modillion eaves cornice. It has three windows with stone flat arches, although the glazing is modern. There are remains of a late 19th-century shop front. The elevation facing Park Street has four windows, some of which include glazing bars. Nos. 26 and 27, along with Nos. 28 and 28A, form a group with No. 2 Vernon Street and No. 1 Park Street.
