Description
The Boars Head Hotel is an early 19th-century building located on Vernon Street. It is a three-storey structure made of brick, standing on a stone base. The front elevation features four windows on the upper floors, which are hung sashes with glazing bars and have stucco lintels. The ground floor has four windows as well, with stone lintels; this includes one window without glazing bars and another with a round-arched head. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is topped by a semi-circular fanlight. The Market Place elevation was refronted in the late 19th century. The Boars Head Hotel is included for its group interest, as it forms a visual group with Nos 26 and 27 Market Place.
