Description
The Farm Produce Hall, built in 1852, is a notable structure made of ashlar stone, designed by J Stevens and G B Park. Originally a single-storey building, an upper storey was added in 1875 to accommodate a library. The building features a parapet with a balustrade, panels, and a dentil cornice. The upper storey is distinguished by attached Corinthian columns that frame three windows with modern glazing, situated beneath a semi-circular shell-like niche with a console keystone. The upper facade is supported by a cornice on console brackets. The ground floor has a rusticated appearance, with round-headed openings. The Farm Produce Hall and No 25 are part of a group that includes the Bakers Vaults public house.
