Description

No 8, Market Place is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brick. It features a modillion eaves cornice and has a rainwater head that is dated 1743. The first floor has two windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars and have stucco lintels above them. The ground floor has a late 19th-century bowed shop front supported by carved consoles. Additionally, there is a basement located under the end of the raised terrace at the front of the building. No 8 and No 13, which is the Bulls Head Public House, are part of a group that includes Bank Chambers on St Petergate.
