Description

No. 6 Church Street is a late 18th-century house that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brick. It features a wooden eaves cornice supported by single brackets. The facade includes three windows with plain reveals, stucco lintels, and hung sashes with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two windows. The entrance door consists of eight fielded panels set within a wooden case, accompanied by panelled ingoes and an open modillion pediment supported by fluted half columns. Above the door is a glazed fanlight. The property is also enclosed by area railings. No. 6 is part of a group that includes Gamlyn's Almshouses, Nos. 3 to 8, the former stables to No. 3, and the garden wall to the south of No. 4.
