Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century building on Church Street. It is a two-storey brick structure with a Welsh slate roof and three windows. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars. A wooden doorcase features panelled ingoes, reeded half-column pilasters, and a glazed fanlight, topped with an open pediment. The front door consists of six fielded panels. A small modern extension, incorporating a single window above a segmental passage arch, connects the building to number 8 Church Street. It is part of a group that includes Gamlyn's Almshouses (numbers 3 to 8), the former stables to number 3, and a garden wall that runs south of number 4.
