Description

Stonegate Lodge is a late 18th century house that stands two storeys tall with attics, constructed from red brick. It features a wooden eaves cornice and has two segmental dormers. The main façade has three windows arranged on tabs, along with a slightly later one-window extension that includes a three-light window with a fluted keystone. On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows. The entrance is marked by a doorcase that has plain pilasters and a cornice. This building is included in the listing primarily because it is part of an important visual group, which includes properties along Church Street, notably the Parish Church of St Mary and St Nicholas.
