Description
Cider-Mill House, located 3 metres east of Upcott Farmhouse, is a cider-house likely built in the late 18th century. It features colourwashed rubble and part cob construction, with a corrugated iron covering on the right gable end and a slated roof. The building has two storeys, with a loft opening above a square opening to the left of a plank 'stable' door. The first floor rises near the top end to accommodate an intact cider press, which includes a wooden threaded screw. Cider-Mill House is connected to the main dwelling by a rubble wall, topped with a slated lean-to roof, and has a raised doorway accessed by external stone steps.
