Description
The barn and stable at West Heddon Farmhouse is a mid-19th century structure featuring a hayloft above. It is built from random slate rubble and topped with a gable-ended slate roof. The building has an L-shaped layout, with the stable aligned with the farmhouse and the barn positioned at right angles to it. The barn includes a central cart door that has a segmental arched head, which is constructed with carefully cut voussoirs, and is flanked by buttresses. The stable has various openings, each with brick segmental heads.
